Institution's Success Journey: The Role of Current and Former Students

It has been 78 years since the establishment of our institution. During this time, the contribution of current and former students has played a significant role in the development and progress of the institution. The first alumni meeting was organized in 1973, where Shri Raghunathdas Motiwala was the chief guest and main speaker. The second alumni meeting was held in 1978, with Dr. Velchand Keshavlal Mehta as the chief guest. The third meeting was held in 1983, with Shri Navinbhai Thakar from Mumbai presiding over the event. The fourth alumni meeting was organized in 1988 under the leadership of Shri Rasikbhai Patel. The fifth such meeting was held in 1993, with Dr. Hasmukhbhai Dave as the chief guest. The sixth alumni gathering in 1998 was graced by Dr. Vallabhbhai Kakadiya as the chief guest. The seventh gathering in 2003 saw Dr. Kiritbhai Solanki, a Member of Parliament, presiding over the event. The eighth alumni meet was held in 2008 with Justice M.C. Patel as the chief guest. During this event, a grand alumni rally was also organized. The 25th alumni meet in 2013 was chaired by Mr. Mahendrabhai Joshi. The most recent alumni event in 2018 featured Padma Shri Dr. Tejas Patel as the main guest. Many generous alumni have provided financial support to the institution. Among them, Dr. Pradipbhai Mavani contributed ₹3,40,000 for a science lab, and other alumni donated a total of ₹10,00,000 to support various development projects of the institution. Dr. Pradipbhai Mavani also provided ₹3,40,000 as a scholarship fund for needy students. In 2002–2003, the institution launched a new initiative to reconnect with former students. This proposal received enthusiastic support from all alumni. Along with this, a donation of ₹5,00,000/- was made by alumni towards the development of the institution, which was warmly welcomed. Thanks to the generosity of these alumni, the school has achieved various milestones. The institution has a long-standing tradition. As per the decision made by the former student committee, every year on March 29, the alumni meet is organized. During these meets, ₹1,17,000/- is awarded annually to deserving students. In addition, ₹4,00,000/- is donated every year for the benefit of the students. These events see the presence of current and former students alike. During 2018–2019, the institution created a list of alumni from the batches of 1970 to 2019, which includes the names and contact details of around 30,33,291 former students. This task was completed under the guidance of the institution. Many current and former students are actively contributing their services to the institution. Students who have passed out are invited back to the institution to share their experiences and guide current students. Some of them have taken on the responsibility of mentoring students for competitive exams and life skills.
Apart from this, in many cases, former students have played a critical role in reuniting with the institution after years and providing crucial support in the form of financial aid, guidance, and emotional support. The contributions of these former students have strengthened the institution’s foundation. When any student from the school reaches a significant position in society, they express their pride in being associated with the school. This attachment is visible when they mention the school in media interviews and public forums. As a result, this strengthens the emotional bond between the alumni and the institution. To preserve this long-standing tradition, the institution has now formed an active alumni association, which works year-round in collaboration with the management to foster alumni engagement. We are pleased to report that in the past 95 years, alumni of this institution have established themselves as successful professionals in various fields. During the CHSSC (school) celebrations, a grand gathering is organized to honor and recognize these alumni with great enthusiasm and respect. We extend heartfelt thanks to all the brothers and sisters who helped in raising funds, contributed donations, and supported the institution in every possible way. The school’s alumni always take pride in staying connected with the school. Whenever former students visit the school, they experience a sense of joy and satisfaction by interacting with current students and reminiscing about their school days. To shape the future of current students, the former students have taken initiatives to inspire and guide them. Through career guidance seminars, motivational talks, field visits, exhibitions, and competitions, alumni provide their valuable time and guidance. With the support of these former students, the school also organizes get-togethers, fun fairs, and gatherings at regular intervals. Many former students are working in prestigious institutions in the fields of education, administration, business, healthcare, and social service. They express pride in being alumni of this school. These successful individuals often make their first donation to this school, which is a matter of great pride and joy for both current and former students. The school also organizes physical, intellectual, and cultural competitions and programs for alumni, allowing them to stay connected with the institution and cherish their student days. The alumni also provide financial support for organizing these events. The alumni have shown a deep connection with the school and are always ready to help in any situation. We are confident that this bond between the school and its students will only grow stronger in the years to come.
